Fat, Fatigued, Stressed or Depressed?
Most people lead lives of quiet desperation. Emerson
The cost of desperation, like cheap food is our health on every level (body, mind, spirit). Limiting beliefs and worry make our world, hopes, and dreams smaller – we do not grow in our comfort zone.
Feeling fat or fatigued? Our thoughts create the feelings, the feelings create the action, the actions decide whether we remain fat and fatigued, stressed or depressed. The energy put into negative thinking rob us of our energy. As listed in the last post… a lack of self-love is the root cause of much “self-induced” suffering. A few ways around that include:
- Taking responsibility for where we are – we made our bed, we can remake it.
- Create our life rather than react to it.
- Respect our body, build it up through nutrition – it will respond favorably.
- Get involved with things that matter.
- Embrace our uniqueness.
- Do what makes our heart sing.
- Keep our word with our self.
- and lastly… enjoy the journey.
We do have a choice on how well (and attractively) we age. Take a step in the bright direction (and don’t look back)!
Feeling Stressed? Try Crying
I once read an article that stated the reason women live longer than men is because we cry more. Could this be true? Do men need to cry more, and more often? Crying was also brought up at one of
the sweat lodges I attended. The man in charge of the rocks gave his pre-sweat talk to the group stating, we detox by way of sweat, bowel movements, vomiting, and crying. I love it – no wonder crying can feel so good sometimes. So… I do believe there is some truth to this – however, crying alone would take f-o-r-e-v-e-r to detox.
There are many ways to detox, these just happen to be some. Detoxing, when done properly and long enough, can be your fountain of youth and the only prescription you’ll ever need. Mix in a little passion and purpose… and there’s no telling how far you can go!
Aging Less, On Purpose is what nature intended!
