Master Cleanse PLUS – Day 4

With or without cleansing, I don’t need a whole lot of sleep. Working construction in the ARIZONA HEAT for 7 years and having to begin work at midnight (on up to 5AM just to avoid the heat) really gave me an appreciation for the mornings. However, I’m happy the 14+ hour days of working for someone else are over.

Less sleep and no meal preparing are giving me more hours to get things checked off my list. Began day with oil pulling, no salt water, enema, then Formula #2. Drank just under a gallon of the Master Cleanse drink, with some water in between.

Ran 3 miles in 30 minutes this A.M., went to outdoor concert this P.M. – felt great!

Running is something I took up when I was 40 for stress relief. I was never a runner, I couldn’t even laugh too much or I’d get asthma. Since cleansing and great training, I’ve been able to run a full and half marathon. This is just a tip of the iceberg of what cleansing can do!

Today’s tid bit: Oil pulling not only helps your body detox… it is a natural teeth whitener.

Master Cleanse and then some – Day 3

Aside from drinking a little less than the last 2 days (for schedule sake), began my day the same…

oil pulling, followed by Epsom salt, followed by an enema, followed by Formula #2. Amazing just how much ‘stuff’ can come out 3 days into not eating. However, had I not been using Formula #2, this much wouldn’t be coming out.

Feeling great, did 40 minutes of cardio salsa and gave a short speech this evening.

Because my diet is quite healthy and I detox somewhat regularly, I am not needing to take the laxative tea at night. Also, since I am drinking the Epsom, it is stimulating my liver and gallbladder, which is stimulating the bowel (and vice versa).

Tid bit: if you are doing the Master Cleanse beyond the first time, you may consider mixing it up a bit – like the dreaded flu vaccine changes from year to year, the Master Cleanse can be ‘altered’ to keep up with the times… the diets and lifestyles of today.

Master Cleanse PLUS- Day 1-Part 2

As I wrote in my post a few days ago… the Master Cleanse was written in 1976, therefore  I tweak it (or should I say… I ADD to it) each and every time I do it.

This time I decided to start my day with oil pulling – I’ve done this before, but never with the Master Cleanse.

Feeling fine this first day… decided to run 2.5 miles

Decided to try juicing lemons – WOW, more juice, more vitamins and more life! Why didn’t I think of this before?

Because I eat healthy most days of the week and hours of the day, I don’t need to lose weight, so today I drank just shy of 1 gallon (a gallon is 128 ounces). If you are wanting to lose weight you can drink less, mix it up with water in between your Masterful drink, and/or use less maple syrup.

  • Tip 1 - it’s easier to mix up a batch, such as a quart and sip throughout portion of day.
  • Tip 2 – A quart lets say is equal to 3 servings, you would simply triple the recipe when making.
  • Tip 3 - 2 tbsp = 1 ounce
  • Note - I took TWO servings of Formula #2 – I love this stuff, no home should be without it!

Master Cleanse PLUS- Day 1-Part 1

This first post will have 2 parts… an A.M. (part 1) and a P.M. (Part 2)

Normally I get a group of people to join me in doing my seasonal cleanse, but this was a last week decision for many reasons, so I go alone this time. Doing it with a group of people makes one accountable to the other, thereby making it harder to give up. Having watched the great movie Julie & Julia on Friday, I thought… I can post about it! This will keep me accountable for all 10 days… thank you Julie!

Because I have years of experience detoxing and helping others do the same, these ‘Master Cleanse’ posts will include all the extras I will be adding to this basic cleanse (see my post on Master Cleanse for the 21st Century). Should you decide to do a Master Cleanse, I would recommend adding Dr. Schulze’s Formula #2 as a minimum to it. It can remove up to 40 X’s in weight in waste, thereby giving you a much deeper cleanse. If your system is really sluggish, you may consider buying a bottle (or two) of Formula #1 while you’re at it.

I’ll be explaining more with each passing day. Please know, it is not recommended you take Formula #2 by itself, unless you suffer from Crohn’s, loose watery stools, food poisoning, or you use it with Master Cleanse, etc. Ask for details when ordering. FYI… I worked for Dr. Schulze, so I know how well his products work. I also know there is no one-size-fits-all to anything, so use your best judgment.

Egg Tacos? a whole new way to eat huevos rancheros

In weaning myself off food to do the Master Cleanse for the 21st Century, I am using up whatever food is in the fridge. Having had some lil ones over for summer break last weekend, I had some left over corn tortillas (from quesadilla snacks) and a few brown eggs.

Being a lacto-ovo-vegetarian with days of  vegan and raw food mixed in here and there, these are ingredients I don’t have very often. The eggs need to be smothered with spices so I can’t smell them, cheese I love, just try not to eat it alone, and tortillas are like popcorn, my taste buds like it but my body doesn’t. The older I get the more I feed my body, not my taste buds… the belly and brain operate and look better that way.

The tasty tacos consisted of:

  • cook 2 eggs any way you prefer – since I am weaning myself off food, I cooked them over medium and seasoned them with cayenne, turmeric and Himalayan salt.
  • warm up 2 corn tortillas
  • spread your choice of topping… I used real butter, you can use humus, mayo, pesto, a tomato sauce, etc.
  • I added lettuce, 1 egg per tortilla, and tomatoes

They were simply DIVINE!

Note** Huevos Rancheros are eggs placed atop tortillas with fixings on the side. These tacos are a much healthier way to eat both. I also use organic ingredients.
