What do these and other autoimmune diseases have in common? COWS MILK!

The following autoimmune diseases are listed in order of most to least common:

  • Graves Disease (Hyperthyroidism)
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Thyroiditis (Hypothyroidism)
  • Vitiligo
  • Pernicious Anemia
  • Glomerulonephritis
  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Scleroderma
  • Primary Biliary Cirrhosis
  • Uveitis
  • Chronic Active Hepatitis

FACT: Women are 2.7 times more likely to be afflicted than men.

FACT: 1 in 31 Americans have an autoimmune disease.

Other commonalities include

  • Immune system mistakenly attacks cells in its own body, thinking they are invaders.
  • They tend to occur in people living furthest from the equator.
  • One or more of these diseases can afflict the same person.
  • Consumption of animal based foods (especially cow’s milk) increase the risk.
  • A virus may trigger the onset of the disease.

Type 1 Diabetes occurs in children. Evidence shows it is related to diet, dairy to be more specific. This occurs when a baby is not nursed long enough. They are fed cow’s milk protein instead in infant formula. For many infants, it does not digest fully and may be absorbed by the blood. The immune system sees it as a foreign invader and begins to destroy it. Since these also resemble cells of the pancreas (which make the insulin), the child loses its ability to produce insulin. The child then becomes Type 1 Diabetic and all too often for the rest of their life.

Cow’s milk may cause one of the most devastating diseases that can befall a child.
