MSG = Mood Swings Galore

MSG… AKA Monosodium Glutamate. It’s sole purpose is to make cheap poor quality, and often times fake food taste like real tasty food. However, it does so at the expense of your health, brain, behavior and more. It is a short term “solution” to long term detrimental problem. You can spend less on food, but expect the money “saved” now to be spent on medical bills and pharmaceutical drugs later. 

Got headaches? Try eating real home cooked meals for a week and see what happens. Your memory not what it used to be? Read labels and avoid foods with MSG – it has been linked to problems such as Alzheimer’s.  Has your child been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD? Start feeding them real food and see what happens.

The problems are endless, the “cures” are many by deciding to eat or omit MSG. Eating healthy does not have to cause confusion or cost a fortune. A few organic grains, fruits, veggies and other wholesome foods bought in bulk can transform your health, and make eating healthy easy and very affordable. In general, food without labels is healthier – they may not have a long shelf life, but they’ll help lengthen yours.

Getting a Flu Shot While Supplies Last?

This humorous video sheds light on what goes into the making of a flu shot – if more people knew this…  the line of people waiting (for their shot) would no doubt be shorter.

Prevent the flu this season by improving your diet. This includes drinking more water in place of sugary drinks. You can dilute your drinks with water to wean yourself off them. Feel better and look great in the process without subjecting yourself to the poison of a flu shot!

Still Taking Aspirin to Keep Blood Thin?

A Physicians’ Health Study which involved 22,000 people showed that people who took aspirin regularly, were not only at greater risk for hemorrhage strokes, they suffered twice as many brain hemorrhages than those who did not take aspirin.  Please know… this does not mean prescription drugs are any better.

Quite the contrary… anti-coagulating drugs like Plavix and Persantine have side effects like such as: leukemia, extreme fatigue and aplastic anemia. Aspirin though considered “safer” than pharmaceuticals is still responsible for side effects of it’s own… holes in stomach and/or bleeding of the GI tract… OUCH!

Why not avoid all the above problems and benefit from safer remedies? Ginkgo Biloba does exactly that! Some of the benefits include:

  • Enhances memory
  • Protects brain against effects of aging
  • Helps prevent degenerative brain disorders
  • Contains antioxidants
  • Increases blood flow through many arteries

Think Outside The Capsule

Want to live long naturally? If so, start taking responsibility for your health, be disciplined to attain and maintain it. Aim to thrive, not merely survive, and by all means do NOT rely on a different color pill for every ill.

I once met a man whose job was to hook people up to dialysis… he stated the majority of his patients were on dialysis due to the overly prescribed antibiotics. Another young man I met was undergoing dialysis 3 times a week. His kidneys were ruined from the pain pills he was prescribed for his back. The stories go on… look at Michael Jackson or Heath Ledger. This does not include the many that succumb to chemotherapy and age at lightening speed. Patrick Swayze was the latest of celebrities. My mother aged a good 20 years after only 3 rounds of chemo.

If you are ill, experiencing disease… see it going not growing. Feed your body life in the form of a different color fruit of vegetable. Get your body moving on the outside and eliminating from the inside. Only then will it be better able to absorb any nutrition you may be giving it.Choose to prolong life not death.

If you don’t take care of yourself… how many holidays or birthday celebrations will you have left?

What is Your REAL AGE?

Real Age My real biological age is 45.7, however… according  to the Real Age Test, I am 46.3! Now that’s a good laugh and a tad disappointing for probably the average person. Little do they know, I feel better now at 45 than I did at 25.

These are their reasons I am supposedly older than I am:

  • I don’t monitor my blood pressure
  • I drive a compact fuel efficient SUV
  • I don’t have enough personal time
  • I don’t have a dog
  • I don’t spend enough time with friends and family
  • My eating habits aren’t great… now that’s a joke!
  • I neglect my muscles and do only the bare minimum… oye vay – are they kidding!
  • I need my cholesterol checked
  • I drive 6 to 9 miles faster than I should… we almost have to in L.A.
  • I need more Vit. D, E and C, folate, potassium, Omega 3’s, breakfast and grains.
  • and finally…  I’m not flexible enough!

So… of these 11, I can honestly say TWO are correct…

I don’t have a dog and I don’t spend enough time with family and friends. Everyone is busy these days, but I agree… we can make more time for family and friends. According to the “Blue Zones” author Dan Buettner, friends and family are an integral part of living long naturally. Diet, detox, and exercise are as well!

DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOUR DOCTOR SAYS!
