Why Buy The Cow When You Can…

Get The MILK FOR FREE?

There are many milk substitutes such as almond, hazelnut, soy, rice, oat, raw or coconut milk. They are delicious and can be used in place of pasteurized cow’s milk. If you must have animal milk, make it goats or raw milk from a reputable source. Dairy products are very mucus forming. I give my three-year-old grandniece raw milk (and other milk substitutes). Not only does she love them, she is one of the few at her daycare WITHOUT a runny nose.

Note* I am not a fan of too much soy anything. It is known to mimic hormones, which can create a host of health problems. Choose your milk wisely… listen to your gut.

I do believe their are pros to drinking milk, however… it starts with being breast fed. Why give a child formula and increase their risk for Type 1 Diabetes (and more), when you can boost your child’s immune for FREE the way nature intended? “Convenient” fast food can cost you your life.

Lost For Losing Weight?

Don’t be fooled by “Fat Free” or any other attempt at a food label trying to look and sound healthy. Certain logos stamped across products can actually be purchased, whether true or not.  The cost of cheap and/or convenient food is your health.

Fat free products may not have “fat” in them, but quite often they still include sugar – sugar turns to fat in the blood, feeds infection, and parasites love it!

Getting more wrinkles than you would like? Many facial wrinkles can be avoided by eating real food, food providing optimal nutrition. If you are waking up to puffy eyes, face, hands, toes, or anything in between… over time wrinkles appear. One night of eating sweets can puff me up – what’s worse is when the puffiness subsides… wrinkles appear. This yo-yo of inflammation and deflation stretches our skin.

Sure there are other reasons for wrinkles (sun, drugs, alcohol, smoking, etc), but diet is huge. Losing weight does not have to be a mystery. Simply eat healthy most days of the week and hours of the day. What is eating healthy consist of? Mostly food without labels, local food, foods that are in season. Top that with ample amounts of water and “diet” can be a thing of the past. Water can be anywhere from drinking half your weight in ounces to drinking one ounce per pound of body weight.

Anybody can lose weight on fewer calories, why pay someone to tell you that?

Sugar Does Not Equal Love

Traditional Chinese Medicine views the desire for sugar, or the sweet flavor, as a craving for the mother (yin) energy, a craving that represents a need for comfort or security. Elson Haas, M.D., Author and Speaker on Nutrition and Detoxification

We crave what’s in our blood – get that clean and the cravings go away. Sugar is an inflammatory. Notice what happens when you eat a lot of sugary foods before bedtime… you wake up puffy. How many times can we allow our skin to stretch? This is a sure way to get wrinkles.  What’s happening on the outside is only a fraction of what’s happening on this inside.

There are healthier sugar alternatives such as xylitol, stevia, raw honey, maple syrup, raw agave nectar, molasses, and the newest one I read about it Lakanto… zero calorie, zero glycemic index, and zero additives, just to name a few. There is no one-size-fits-all sweetener and there will always be conflicting views. Use your best judgment and follow your gut. One thing most can agree on is to avoid white sugar… it is not as sweet as you think.

Turning Back The Hands of Time

Antiaging and disease prevention are something everyone can do, given some education and the desire to do so. Health reform begins with us! Our body’s “engine” is so much more complex, not to mention more precious than our vehicle’s engine, yet it is neglected more often than our vehicle.

Our food is our fuel, so make it high-grade

Like a high performance vehicle gets top notch products, our body deserves that ten-fold! You wouldn’t consider making a baby from a bag of chips would you? Actually… this isn’t a great example because that is exactly what couples are doing. Let’s say you want to build your dream home, would you use spare parts? Think long term… quality and quantity of life.

What you put in your body is vital to the hands of time and your face value.

Weight Loss Question

To eat or not to eat? This is a question to ask yourself, or you can simply look in the mirror.

Will the food you are about to eat bring you closer to health or farther faster? Will you wake up looking and feeling your best or wanting to hide?

Eaters’ remorse is a Catch 22! You may eat for comfort or to satisfy your taste buds now only to be upset at yourself later – and so the vicious cycle goes. When we binge or indulge out of control, we can in fact eat or drink ourselves into oblivion the next day. It’s scary what the wrong foods can do!

When I eat the wrong foods, my plumbing slows way down down, which leaves me looking far from my best. My face and eyes get puffy, I have dark circles under my eyes, film over my eyes, bad breath, I am bloated, constipated, feel fat, AND lack energy. Often these symptoms are accompanied by: moodiness, brain fog, inability to concentrate, flatulence, headaches, aches and pains, breakouts, allergies, and a feeling of being disconnected from my higher power.

Exercise, cleansing, and healthy eating (most days of the week) keep me jowl-less, my eyelids visible, and keep my belly smaller than the bottom. These three parts of my body always let me know when I’ve gotten carried away – I’m forever grateful for my built-in gauges!

A mirror doesn’t lie -  what are YOUR built-in gauges telling you?
